Part of the Alaska Route 1, the Glenn Highway is a national scenic byway that stretches 328 mi (528 km) from the city of Anchorage to the Alaska Highway at Tok Junction. The highway follows the Matanuska River and visitors traveling along it are treated to mountain peaks on both sides, glacier sightings and ancient forests.
