    Eklutna Historical Park
    Eklutna Historical Park

    This park was founded in 1990 in order to conserve the culture and beliefs of the Athabascan people. It also portrays the disappearing heritage of the Dena'ina Athabascan Indians in the south central part of Alaska. This non-profit organization's specific purposes include: the promotion, devolopment, assistance, and enhancement of Elkutnar educational, social, and culture values. This historical park also includes a muesuem filled with native art and historical exhibits displaying native lifestyles and traditions. Also, the cemetery has colorful spirit houses, which use specific colors to identify specific tribes, and are placed over graves of relatives. Also Orthodox crosses can be seen on the gravestones of the deceased that once belonged to the Orthodox Church.

    Chugach Heritage Center
    Located in the former Seward Train Depot, this center preserves and exhibits the history and culture of the Aleut people. There is a theater, which plays a half-hour video presentation called "So They Say," about four Aleut myths from before Russian contact. There are also several displays and a gift shop.

    Wrangell-St. Elias
    Three large mountain ranges converge in this park, and it contains the largest assemblage of glaciers and peaks above 16000 feet in North America. There is an abandoned copper mine in the park which is a national historic site.

    Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park
    This park encompasses the White Pass Trail and the Chilkoot Trail, the two most popular routes used during the gold rush to travel to the gold fields. There is an information center and hiking trail center, and exhibits of gold rush items.

    Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve
    This preserve is accessible by plane or boat from Eagle or Circle. There are scheduled hikes and programs at the preserve, as well as a visitor center in Eagle. Historic attractions in the park include Coal Creek Dredge and camp, which was a bush gold operation during the gold rush, and cabins used by trappers, miners, and woodcutters.
